20 days old

The EA kits are super cute. They are getting really active.
Moma gave up her coat. I haven't weighted it yet but I guess it's a least 2 ounces - which is pretty good. She pulled out at least 3 for the litters each time.

The odd couple

George and Benzo seem to be living very happy together for the past month or so. George actually looked depressed to me when I first brought him home. Put him in the cage with Benzo and they both seem more active. I have watched them a lot and no fighting. I was afraid George might not get enough food- but looking at him today- it doesn't seem to be an issue. Benzo's coat also seems awesome.

Tinny and the monster

Out of this most recent litter one of the kits is tinny. He is half the size of the other kits. I didn't get attached to him- because I assumed he would not make it. Day 9 today and looks to be catching up a bit.

7 days old

All of the kits are alive.
I am counting 4 broken something EA , 3 fawns and 2 REWs. The silver foxes are big and healthy.

Spring please come soon..............

I should not complain because it has been a mild spring- but this winter sucks. The rabbits aren't loving it. I am so sick of frozen water bottles.

A watched doe does not kindle

Brokenella Narscia or Moma as I often call her- had 9 kits today.  I almost missed them - she had them so far back under what looks like 2 good ounces of fibber.

They all look pink- so am thinking I may have gotten a litter of fawns and REWs. There has to be at least one or two broken ones in there.

I am going to give her a break after this litter. It's tempting to breed her again because she has such big healthy litters - but I don't want to breed just to breed.

Perfect my new silver fox had 6 kits yesterday.
